Oliver Izod is a violinist par excellence, who also plays the accordion, piano, recorder and musical saw with unparalleled panache. So talented is he that we should love to despise him, were he not charming and witty in equal measure. A consummate performer, both with and without the aid of musical instruments, Oliver’s recent stage credits include Betty Blue Eyes, Peter Pan and the improvised show BattleActs! Oliver’s alter ego, Baron Fingolfin, was also a grand finalist in the 2015 Musical Comedy Awards.

Captain Oliver Izod, pseudonymously known as Baron Fingolfin, is a danger to society. So multifarious and hypnotic are his musical skills that he has been banned from 19 counties, for fear that his melodious saw may drive unsuspecting gentlefolk into a sybaritic frenzy. Dubbed ‘The Pied Piper of Hammersmith’, after an incident in which rapturous fans smothered him adoringly with pies after a particularly risqué recorder solo, Izod is on the run, yet it is rumoured that his alter ego, Baron Fingolfin, was spied accepting a prize at the ‘Musical Comedy Awards’. The nation trembles.
